Need Route from Robinson Church to Central Ave

Routes
I am new to cycling around Charlotte and I need a safe route. I live in Bradfield Farms (exit 39 off 485) and work on Independence across from the Cricket Arena. I am trying to avoid SHARON AMITY in the morning and afternoon. I would also like to avoid Harrisburg if possible. I think I can ride up Reedy Creek and make a left that will bring me out on Robinson Church. If someone can just help me get past Sharon Amity I think I might give it a go one day.

My current route would be
Harrisburg Road
Right onto Robinson Church
Left onto Market St.
Right onto Hickory Grove Road
Then the section I want to avoid Merge onto Sharon Amity
Make a right on Central (bike lane)
Make a left on Eastway
Then a couple of back streets and I'm at work.

Anyone have any ideas?

Mike

Correction

I just realized Mike's destination was Cricket arena rather than uptown. The previous route suggestions aim for Central and Morningside, but should of course aim for Central and Briar Creek. So for Suggestion 2 starting from Arnold Dr. just past Eastway, left on Merry Oaks, right on Flynwood, then right on Central one block to Briar Creek Rd. (There might be a medium across Central at Flynwood - I forget how high it is). Then take Briar Creek Rd. to Independence.

That section on Sharon-Amity

That section on Sharon-Amity between Hickory Grove Rd. and Sudbury Rd. has always been a problem for me. Do you go all the way down Sharon-Amity to Central Ave.? The Windsor Park to your right offers nice residential streets and good connectivity to Central Ave. and beyond.

Suggestion 1: From Hickory Grove and Shamrock, follow Hickory Grove and merge onto Sharon-Amity (I would definitly use the sidewalk if it is rush hour), but only go about 1/2 mile to Love St. and turn right. Turn right on Auburndale, left on Tamerlane, right on Coral Way, left on Carriage Drive, left on Rosehaven. Turn right on Central and follow all the way to Morningside. Distance 3.7 miles.

Suggestion 2: From Hickory Grove and Shamrock, follow Shamrock and go through the intersection with Sharon-Amity and a little ways further just past the church on your left. Cut across the baseball field to the end of Kavanaugh Dr. (This will be easy if you have a mountain or trail bike.) Straight on Kavanaugh, left on Somerdale, left on Seaforth, right on Sudbury, right on Enfield, left on Markham, right on Arnold and cross Eastway. Just past Harbinger, take the sidewalk on the right and cross Briar Creek on the new pedistrian bridge, follow the sidewalk across Masonic Dr. and up to Logie Ave., left on Logie, right on Roland, left on Morningside to Central. Distance 3.8 miles.

I would much prefer Suggestion 2 because it avoids Eastway and a lot of Central and all that traffic. From Central and Morningside, you can take Morningside to Commonwealth.
